Vintage Ganesha Seated on Chair, Tribal Bastar Ganesh, Handmade in the old world way, the mold of Ganesha is made in clay and then brass wires are wrapped around the mold, then the sculpture is put into the fire kiln. The style is one that was used by the Baster tribe which is one of the oldest tribes in India
Ganesha sitting on a chair. He holds a noose, elephant goad, his broken tusk and a mango. Ganesh's trunk is to his left. In sculpture the position of Lord Ganesh's trunk has a symbolic meaning. If the trunk turns to the Ganesh's left, that is the direction for success in the world.
Note : Clean it with soft cloth/soft brush with some cold water to gently take off any sign of weathering.
