Yoga And Meditation Gift

If spirituality or religion plays a significant role in the lives of the couple, a statue symbolizing their beliefs might be an appropriate and much loved gift. Famous sculptures of Buddha, Ganesha, Nataraja, or any other figure depicting a figure that plays a role in the couple's spiritual practices or beliefs may be the perfect gift and are available in almost any price range. A coffee table book of famous sculptures would make a lovely gift. Many people find the use of malas, or a chain of beads used for chanting mantras, helpful for meditation. Many different varieties of malas are available in our store.A mala is a string of beads used for prayer. Malas are made on the principle of the sacred number 108, so they will have either 108 beads or a divisible of that number: 54 or 27 beads. They are usually strung on silk thread with knots between each bead to maintain consistent space between each bead. They also have a Guru bead with a tassel hanging from it. The tassel is considered the symbol of a thousand lotus petals. The yoga clothing should have a perfect fit for you. Loose clothes will create problem for you. Again too tight clothes will again make your movement impossible. So, when you select the clothes for yoga exercise, you should select them carefully.

The Hindu and Tibetan Buddhist japa malas are beaded rosaries or knotted necklaces of prayer beads with tassles used during spiritual practise or meditation. They are used to focus one’s awareness and concentration during grounding of the chakras. The word mala means “garland” or rosary in Sanskrit. Prayer beads with pendants of divine forms have been used by yogis and sadhakas for thousands of years. Buddha himself recommended the mantra mala practice as a way to curb desires and a path to enlightenment.

Malas, rosaries and energy beads are used to count mantra recitations and to focus one's concentration during meditation. Counting mantra malabeads occupies the hand, reciting mantra occupies the voice (speech) and visualization of the deity occupies the mind. By focusing these three aspects of ourselves onto the practice at once, the benefits are multiplied and the energy of the kundalini accumulates.
