Carved Door Panels

The tradition and culture of India has been elaborately illustrated in our hand carved door panels. Each piece depicts a story of ancient India and along with it re-energises your interiors. Door panels with carvings of Hindu Gods such as Ganesh, Krishna, Lord Buddha can be used as interior doors or wall panels.

Gautam Buddha is said to be the ninth incarnation of Vishnu. However, many do not agree. They feel that the theory of his being an incarnation of Vishnu was advanced to create misunderstanding amongst people. Siddharth was born in a garden in Lumbini to Mahamaya and Shudhodhan, ruler of a small kingdom the on the present Indo-Nepal border. Siddharth Gautam was known as "The Enlightened One" after acheiving the divine light.

The Buddha's ethereal features are emphasized, while its human features are emphasized.

Sri Ganesh is the most revered of Hindu Gods. He is so blesses that before any ceremony or auspicious occassion, prayers must first be offered to HIm. He is vighnaharta and master of Riddhi-siddhi. This simply means that he removes all obstacles that confront devotees. A prayer, an offering or penance made for him ensures success, wealth and prosperity.

Sri Krishna is the eigth incarnation of Vishnu and is considered to be the most complete one. Like, Sri Ram, Lord Krishna is widely worshipped by Hindus around the world. Of the four Dhams, two of them, the Jagannath temple at Puri and other at Dwarka, are dedicated to Sri Krishna. Magnificent temples dedicated to Him are spread all over the world In Sanskrit, the word Krishna literally means black, or the dark one. This refers to Sri Krishna's complexion, similar to that of Vishnu and Sri Ram - dark and bluish-black.

Indian tribal painting is the art of people of different cultural and social groups whose lives are tuned to the rhythms of nature, entwined with the energy of earth and the cyclic change in the environment. Tribal painting is the mirror of the energy of the respective art of various tribal groups. It is a living and changing art form, which changes with time, necessity, environment, memories and experiences of these people. Fairs, festivals, local deities, Gods and Goddesses, legends, nature and animals play a vital role in the tribal painting in India. This traditional Indian tribal painting animates the immortal charm of Indian tribal life.

Kamasutra headboards will definitely create an exotica of unparalled imagination. Kamasutra-the temples of kajhuraho are embellished with exquisite stone carvings which portrays every facets and mode of life, frm the erotic to the devine, the common place to the sublime.

A headboard can truly make the room what you want it to be. Whether you are going for a romantic, masculine, child friendly, religious or relaxing bedroom atmosphere you will find that you are concentrating on the headboard more than anything else in the room. The headboard can not only pull a whole room together, it can become the centerpiece of a bedroom.
