Some of the most striking pieces in our collection aren't furniture at all, they're doors. Our antique doors from Jaipur come with a sand-washed patina you really can't recreate artificially, the kind that only builds up over decades of sun, dust, and hands passing through.
Look closely and you'll often find carved symbols worked into the panels, a purnakumbha (the auspicious blessing vessel, sometimes shown overflowing) or chakra motifs, both commonly carved into lentils of doors in Rajasthani homes as a welcome, a mark of prosperity, or a quiet blessing on whoever walked through. These weren't decorative afterthoughts; for the families who built them, a carved door said something about the home and the people who lived behind it.
Our antique armoires come from historic havelis across India, and the carving work on them is often what stops people in their tracks. Mandala patterns, sunburst motifs, lotus flowers, these weren't chosen at random. In traditional Indian craftsmanship, these symbols carry real meaning: the lotus for purity and new beginnings, the mandala for wholeness, the sun for life and vitality. A craftsman carving an armoire panel a century ago was working within a whole visual language, not just decorating.
The collection ranges widely, vintage carved cabinets, wood doors featuring medallions, carved floral motifs and wardrobe armoires built for the practical business of storing a family's belongings for generations. Some panels are deeply carved and left natural; others were originally painted, and still carry traces of that color today.
.
Each vintage armoire and cabinet we build this way keeps something of its original form intact,a panel outline, an old lock plate, a carving that used to sit at eye level in someone's doorway. We're not trying to disguise where it came from. That timeworn quality is the whole appeal.
If you've ever wanted a piece that instantly changes the feel of a room, it's usually a door. Our vintage Indian doors collection includes everything from deeply carved teak doors salvaged from old havelis to simpler, weathered barn-style doors pulled from village homes — each one carrying a different regional style depending on where it was made.
Some of these doors feature deity carvings, Ganesha, Lakshmi, or other figures traditionally worked into entryways as a form of welcome or blessing for the household. Others lean more toward geometric jaali patterns or simple floral borders, depending on the era and the craftsman. We also carry rustic style door panels for those who want the texture and grain of old wood without the more ornate detailing — great as sliding doors, headboards, or standalone wall pieces.
Add in a rustic wood-carved door or a piece of distressed furniture, and you get some visual weight to balance all that color and pattern. A bench topped with tribal-print pillows works well here too — something with a bit of structure to ground the softer textiles around it. For the walls, our colorful tapestries bring in more of that same handloom character, while a small carved sculpture or two adds a quieter, more meditative note without competing with everything else in the room.

If you're building out a bedroom specifically, a low floor bed layered with pashmina throws changes the whole feel of the space less formal, more like a room you actually want to sit on the floor in. It's a simple swap, but it's often the one that makes a space feel most personal.

Bringing an Antique Door Into Your Home
Where do these doors actually come from? Most come from havelis, courtyard homes, and older buildings across India, often pieces that were about to be lost to renovation or demolition before we found them.
Are the doors structurally sound after all that time? Yes. Every piece is inspected and restored to stabilize the wood before it leaves us, so it's ready to function as a real, working door in your home, not just a decorative object.
Will the door still have visible wear and marks? Yes, and that's intentional. Water stains, smoothed edges, and uneven color are part of the piece's history. We stabilize and clean the wood without sanding away the character that makes it worth having.
Can an antique door be resized to fit a modern doorway? In many cases, yes. We can adjust framing and, where needed, work with the door's dimensions to fit a new opening while preserving the original panel and carving.
How do I care for an antique door once it's installed? Basic wood care goes a long way — periodic oiling, avoiding prolonged direct sun, and dusting with a soft cloth rather than harsh cleaning products.
