This 19th-century carved hardwood door is a true statement piece defined by its intricate detailing and timeworn beauty. Featuring an elegant tall, narrow form, the door is composed of eight rectangular raised panels arranged in a balanced 4-row × 2-column grid—each panel uniquely carved, ensuring no repetition across rows.

The top row introduces delicate rosette medallions crowned with radiating semicircular fan arches, setting a refined architectural tone. The second row commands attention with bold sunburst motifs centered by floral bosses, offering the most visually dramatic expression of the piece. This rhythm continues with the third row echoing the top’s rosette-and-arch composition, while the bottom row returns to the sunburst theme in a slightly tighter, more compact variation.

Its original turquoise/teal paint has aged gracefully into a richly distressed patina.
