Our carved lotus panels come in two color options: a moody blue that reads almost black in low light, and a sea green turquoise that shifts brighter as the light changes through the day. Both are painted directly onto reclaimed wood, so the grain still shows through in places — you can see the wood's history under the color, not just a flat coat over it.
Hang one as a wall panel or use it as a door insert, and it does what a lotus is meant to do in a room: give the eye somewhere to land. The mandala form has long been associated with balance and calm, which is part of why it works so well as a single statement piece rather than something you'd want to repeat across a wall.

Our vintage cabinets & armoires are carved by hand, so the panels catch light and shadow differently depending on where you stand, which gives a drenched room something to look at beyond the color itself.
A teal-washed vintage armoire reads darker and more matte than a fresh coat of paint would, since the wash sinks into the existing grain instead of sitting on the surface. Set it against an antique green door a shade or two brighter, and the room gets depth without a hard color break — your eye moves between the two instead of stopping at one.
Sari curtains are what tie it together, and it's worth knowing why they work here: they're woven from repurposed silk sari fabric, so the color isn't flat dye on cotton — it has the slight sheen and irregular weave of the original textile, which catches light differently than a plain curtain panel would.

As a sliding barn door, the hardware does most of the practical work — it needs a wall run wider than the opening and a track rated for the door's weight, since these are solid wood, not hollow-core. Because of that heft, they read as substantial rather than decorative even before you factor in the color.
Our carved Krishna panels are cut in relief, so the figures sit raised off the background rather than just etched into it — that's what gives them a shadow line and makes the scene readable from across a room, not just up close. Mounted as a wall panel, they work less like a painting and more like a piece of architecture brought indoors, since that's originally what they were part of.
These sideboards start as actual doors — old ones, with their original panel carving and hardware intact — that get rebuilt into a base and top rather than being carved from scratch to look old. That's the difference worth knowing: the character on the front panel isn't decorative styling, it's whatever pattern that specific door happened to have when it was still hanging in a doorway somewhere.
Because each sideboard is built around one specific salvaged door, no two are quite alike — panel size, carving pattern, and proportions shift piece to piece. Worth checking the individual listing rather than assuming yours will match the collection photo exactly.
A colored armoire or a statement sideboard works as the anchor piece in a color-drenched room — put it against the same wall color rather than a contrasting one, and it reads as part of the architecture instead of furniture dropped into the space.
From there, carved panels or a mural wall add the depth a flat painted wall can't — the raised carving catches shadow as the light shifts through the day, which is something no amount of paint alone will do.
